Long House Tangap in Niah National Park

GOLD group arrived at MIRI airport at about 9.40 am on 22nd October 2012. We were greeted by En Sazali, our tour guide from Tropical Adventure Tours & Travel. After all the bags were safety staked into the bus compartment, we were taken on a bus ride for about 100 km to Niah National Park, stopping halfway for a quick lunch.
After a short briefing, we were taken across Niah River by boat.  The boat ride took  only 1 minute. To get to the Long House we have to walk along plank-walk for about 3 km.  The walk though tiring for me, but enjoyable as we are able to appreciate the flora and fauna of the surroundings.

On arrival at the Long House Limbau, Sungai Tangap, we were given a grand welcome of  "Pemujaan"  ceremony and entertained with Ngajat dance along with Iban music.  This ceremonies are the traditional Iban's way of welcoming and usually reserved for special guests.  We are indeed very honored.
